On behalf of the Harvard Club of Hong Kong Education Fund (“HCHKEF”), we would like to cordially invite you to support our programs by attending our upcoming fundraising dinner on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023.

HCHKEF is a Section 88 tax-exempt charitable organization incorporated in November 2015. Our mission is to provide secondary-school students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with access to educational and mentorship opportunities that would not be available to them otherwise, with the goal of better preparing them for their future.

Between 2015-2022, we awarded over 5,600 students with the Harvard Prize Book, granted over HKD2 million in Scholarships to 27 Scholarship winners, and paired over 110 students with our Harvard Alumni Mentors. All these programs were made possible by donations of over HKD3 million. 

The purpose of this fundraising dinner is to raise HKD150,000, which will enable us to continue our flagship Prize Book program in 2024. This program awards students in their second-to-last year of secondary school with a prize book and certificate. Each year, approximately 700 students are awarded the Prize Book. If we exceed our fundraising target, we aim to resume sending financially underprivileged students to study at the seven-week Harvard Summer School program through our Prize Book Scholarship. Our target is to raise HKD600,000 for four scholarships in 2024.

We invite you and your family to join us for an unforgettable evening to hear truly inspirational stories from our past Harvard Prize Book Scholarship winners. Nine out of 27 Scholarship winners from the 2015 to 2022 cohorts will share their unique personal growth journeys. The dinner will provide an invaluable opportunity for you to learn how the HCHKEF is making a real and lasting impact on the lives of disadvantaged youth in Hong Kong, and how the Harvard experience has been life-changing for the Scholarship winners.
